THE AFGHAN SOLUTION, Josie Maynard's documentary debut, poses viable solutions to the conflict in Afghanistan, as told by Afghans themselves, as well other key players. Prior to this, Josie created, directed and produced a traveling wine show, PLANET WINE; for One Media Television; as well as educational shows promoting healthy eating for children, KIDS COOK TV. She attended New School University in New York City and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. She continues to work with human rights organizations, as well as tribal and political figures to promote dialogue on Afghanistan.
Emily R. Speer
Co–Producer
has worked in live and recorded production for nearly two decades. She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the owner of Big M Productions, Inc. Her productions include the feature film, A Talent for Trouble (2010), an educational short Surviving the Streets (2009), and the diet and health series Super Vixen (2008) and Battle of the Bulge (2006).
George Suarez
Co-Producer, THE AFGHAN SOLUTION
is an Emmy and Murrow Award winning producer whose work has appeared on NBC, ABC, PBS and Discovery Channel. His company, 23 Degree Media, produces non-fiction video in New York, and Sao Paolo, Brazil. He is a graduate of Columbia University, with a master's degree in anthropology. He specializes in news management and field production.

Manny Howard
Associate Producer, THE AFGHAN SOLUTION
has written for New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, GQ and Men's Journal; and is the author of My Empire of Dirt, published by Scribner in 2010. He has also contributed to collections of essays such as Harper Collins's The Bastard on the Couch; Thomas Beller's Before and After: 9/11 Reader; and Man with a Pan.com. Manny is a graduate of Vassar College.
Resa Matthews
Co-Producer, THE AFGHAN SOLUTION
is an Emmy Award-winning producer and director who has worked for ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS and VH-1, among others. She has covered topics ranging from apartheid in South Africa to the war in Bosnia to the peace process in Israel and Palestine. Her interest in Afghanistan began while covering the lead-up to "the War on Terror" for CNN.

has been a producer for CNN, National Geographic, Bloomberg TV Europe, CNBC Europe and has reported for NPR and BBC World Service. He is a graduate of the American University School of International Service and has written and produced independent feature films.

Jamie Kirkpatrick

is a New York-based freelance editor whose credits includeSouth Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut; Ed Burn's The Groomsmen; and Dave Chappell's Block Party. He has also worked in music videos, commercials and televisions programs. Jamie's latest project was the emmy-nominated SNL in the 2000s for NBC.
Peter Tooke

Peter's work includes the documentaries Giuliani Time, and Pattonsburg Where We Live. He is currently co-directing and editing Charros, centered around a Mexican ranch family; and Explorer, based on Venezuelan naturalist Charles Brewer-Carias. Peter has also produced and directed for Mercedes Benz, and broadcast clients such as Frontline, BBC, AVC, CVS, ARD German TV.
Rodney Lamborn

Rod's work includes the documentaries Immortal Fortress, which is about Chechnyan freedom fighters, shot for PBS; Living in Emergency, a film about the conflict areas of Liberia and the East Congo; as well as commercial campaigns for AT&T, Nike, Adidas, Norelco; and television networks like: Oxygen, USA and MTV. Rod is currently working on Mexican Uni, a documentary in Baja, Mexico.

Her dedication to support and be a resource for others struggling with infertility difficulties has recently led her to appear on two Today Show segments on Infertility, and begin working on a documentary.
